How to apply for dormitory housing

Follow these simple steps to secure your room. Applications open each year in July for the autumn semester.

Check eligibility

All enrolled TIU students are eligible. First-year and international students are given priority in the allocation process.

Submit application

Complete the online housing application form through your LMS student portal. You'll need your student ID and programme details.

Receive offer

Allocation results are sent by email within 2 weeks. You'll receive your room assignment, move-in date, and payment instructions.

04

Move in

Arrive on your assigned move-in date. Our housing team will greet you, hand over your key, and give you a quick tour of the building.

Housing FAQs

Yes. Students enrolled in summer school or resit exams can request to stay during the summer period (June–August). A reduced summer rate applies. Contact the Housing Office by 1 May to secure your place.

Yes. If you and another student both request to share a room, we'll do our best to accommodate that. Simply note your preferred roommate's name and student ID on the application form.

Absolutely. The dormitory has 24/7 security, CCTV coverage, key card access to all floors, and a staffed reception desk. Visitors must sign in and be accompanied by a resident at all times.

You can terminate your housing agreement with 30 days' written notice. Refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis. Contact the Housing Office to discuss your situation before making a decision.

Rooms are fully furnished, so there's no need to bring large items. However, you're welcome to bring personal items like a desk lamp, bedding, or small storage. Large furniture is not permitted due to space limitations.
