Documents & requirements

Make sure you have the following ready before starting your application. All documents should be in English, or accompanied by a certified translation.

Valid passport With at least 12 months validity remaining from your intended start date

Academic certificates & transcripts Secondary school certificate (Bachelor's) or Bachelor's degree (Master's) with full transcript

International Applicant FAQs

Most international students require a student visa (type "O'T-2") to study in Uzbekistan. Citizens of some CIS countries may be exempt. TIU's International Office will issue an official invitation letter to support your visa application once you've been accepted.

Yes. TIU offers student housing options both on and near campus. International students are given priority for university accommodation. Alternatively, we can help you find private rental options in Tashkent at affordable rates.

Tashkent is one of the most affordable capital cities in the region. On average, students spend approximately $300-500 USD per month on rent, food, transport, and personal expenses — significantly lower than most European or Asian cities.

Part-time work opportunities may be available depending on your visa conditions. TIU also offers on-campus work-study positions and internship placements through our Career Centre. Contact the International Office for the latest regulations.

Absolutely. Every September, we run a dedicated International Orientation Week that includes campus tours, city tours, registration support, SIM card and bank account setup, and social events to help you settle in and make friends before classes begin.

Yes. TIU offers merit-based scholarships for high-achieving international applicants covering up to 50% of tuition fees. Additional financial aid and fee discounts may be available. Visit our scholarships page for full details and eligibility criteria.
