Admission to TIU is based on academic merit, personal motivation, and readiness for an international learning environment. Requirements vary by programme level, but we've made the process as clear and straightforward as possible.

Entry requirements

Bachelor's Programme Requirements

To be considered for admission to a Bachelor's programme at TIU, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Secondary School Certificate Completed secondary education (11-year programme or equivalent) with official transcript
English Language Proficiency IELTS 5.5+ / TOEFL 65+ / CEFR B2, or pass TIU's internal English assessment
Passport / National ID Valid passport for international applicants, or national ID for Uzbek citizens
Motivation Letter A personal statement (300-500 words) explaining your goals and why you chose TIU
Passport-size Photos 2 recent passport-size photographs (3.5 x 4.5 cm)

Applicants who don't yet meet the English language requirement may be offered a place on our Foundation Programme to prepare for degree-level study.

Master's Programme Requirements

Applicants to Master's programmes must hold a relevant undergraduate degree and demonstrate readiness for advanced study:

Bachelor's Degree Completed undergraduate degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
Official Transcript Academic transcript showing all courses and grades from your undergraduate studies
English Language Proficiency IELTS 6.0+ / TOEFL 78+ / CEFR B2-C1, or TIU internal assessment
CV / Resume Updated CV highlighting academic and professional experience
Statement of Purpose A detailed statement (500-800 words) outlining research interests and career goals
Two Recommendation Letters From academic or professional referees who can speak to your capabilities

Work experience

For the MBA programme, a minimum of 1 year of professional experience is preferred. Other Master's programmes welcome fresh graduates.

PhD Programme Requirements

Our doctoral programmes are designed for candidates with strong academic records and a commitment to original research:

Master's Degree Completed master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
Research Proposal A 2,000–3,000 word research proposal outlining your intended area of study
English Proficiency IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+ (or equivalent)
Academic References Two academic reference letters from university professors or research supervisors

How to submit your documents

A simple process from gathering documents to securing your place

Prepare

Gather all required documents based on your programme level. Make sure certificates are translated if not in English or Uzbek.

Apply Online

Submit your application and upload all documents through our online portal. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately.

Assessment

Our admissions team reviews your application. You may be invited for an interview or asked to take the internal English test.

Decision

Receive your admission decision within 2-4 weeks. If accepted, you'll get an official offer letter via email.

Enrolment

Confirm your place by paying the registration fee and completing the enrolment form before the deadline.

Requirements FAQs

IELTS is one accepted English proficiency test, but we also accept TOEFL, Cambridge English, and our own internal English assessment. If you don't have a test score, you can take the TIU placement test during the admissions process.

All documents must be submitted in English, Uzbek, or Russian. If your documents are in another language, please provide officially certified translations. Notarised copies are recommended but not always required — check with the Admissions Office.

Yes. You can apply with predicted grades or a provisional transcript. If accepted, your offer will be conditional on successfully completing your current programme and meeting the stated requirements.

There are no strict age limits. Bachelor's programmes are typically for recent school leavers (17+), but mature students are welcome. Master's and certificate programmes are open to applicants of all ages.

For most programmes, there is no formal entrance exam. Admission is based on your academic documents, motivation letter, and English proficiency. Some programmes may include an interview or portfolio review as part of the assessment process.
